Roses for Tulip

Everything's Coming Up Roses for Tulip

She’s only four inches long from stem to stern, but curious little Tulip has a personality as big as a whale.

A PETA undercover investigator rescued the spunky little mouse, along with her sisters, from a laboratory that was going to throw them away because they didn’t glow in the dark. No joke! The lab was experimenting on mice who had been bred to have a glowing jellyfish gene, and the mice who didn’t glow were considered “trash” and killed. Some mice were thrown into freezers alive. Other mice used in experiments suffered from wounds and gigantic tumors for days before dying, even though our investigator begged her bosses to bring in a vet. After PETA took our video evidence to the authorities, several experimenters were reprimanded.

Bite BackBuy lip balm, shower gel, toothpaste, and other products from companies that have banned animal tests forever (contact PETA for a free list). Participate in fundraisers for health charities that don’t pay laboratories to conduct cruel tests on animals (we have a list of those , too!).
