Lauriee WolffSaved From Being Buried Alive!
The moment that friends Anthony Recine 11, Edward Symons,13, and Josh Symons spotted bulldozers plowing dirt over the wetlands in their neighborhood, they raced to the construction site, rolled up their sleeves and pants, and spent four days up to their waists in mud rescuing thousands of tadpoles, fish, crabs, and frogs from being buried alive. The searing South Carolina sun, bug bites, and cut-up feet didn’t slow the boys a bit as they rushed the animals to their new home—a nearby pond.

What about you? Would you jump in the mud to rescue your finned friends?

Lauriee Wolff“Must Dissect” Rule Left to History Books
Slicing into an innocent earthworm for the sake of an “A” in science lab just didn’t cut it for 13-year-old Lauriee Wolff. So, swapping her scalpel for protest signs, Lauriee challenged her school’s impale-or-fail dissection rule. The gutsy young activist set up an info booth, penned a petition, and told her school board that “killing animals and cutting them up so kids can look inside them is not having any respect for life.”

Lauriee’s “dissection choice” policy passed! Now, a whopping 230,000 kids in Clark County, Nevada, which includes Las Vegas, can safely say, “I won’t dissect!”

What about you? Would you trade the blade for a failing grade or fight for your (and the animals’) rights?
