Me-ouch!

Designers Hide Out

Brad Pitt

Silverstone Shines for Animals
When fashion designer Anne Klein signed on to cosponsor an opening-night party of Broadway's The Graduate, the play's star, Alicia Silverstone, agreed to wear one of Klein's creations—then said,"No way!" after spotting a rabbit-fur jacket in the designer's catalog. The company's head honcho, CEO John D. Idol, wrote back, "I agree with your point of view and have today pulled the jacket off the line," and assured Silverstone that the company will never use fur.

"Fur isn't necessary. It doesn't make sense to me to let these animals suffer for fashion."
