Wet Seal Pledges No Fur This Fall
Well gang, all your hard work has paid off … again! For nearly eight months, PETA has campaigned against retailer Wet Seal, demanding that the chain stop selling clothing made of fur. On July 20, 2005, PETA received written assurance that Wet Seal will not carry fur this fall season … YAY! As a result, PETA has agreed to stop campaigning against Wet Seal until January of 2006, when we’ll meet with the company to discuss a permanent fur-free policy. So please stop all communication with the company—this includes writing or calling anyone associated with Wet Seal.
Now don’t go getting lazy on us, because there’s still lots of work to be done to help our animal friends—so check out some of our other campaigns.
Thanks to all of you for this amazing achievement, and congratulations on this wonderful victory for animals!
