Super-Minty Shamrock Shake ☘️

A naturally green shake? Yes, please! This yummy shake is not only good tasting but also good for you (yay!). But the best part is that there’s no cow’s milk in it! Cows don’t want to be used so that humans can take the milk that’s meant for their babies. They don’t want their young to be taken away from them, and they definitely don’t want to be killed after they can’t make milk anymore. ? By choosing to drink a vegan shamrock shake for St. Patrick’s Day rather than one made with milk that’s been cruelly taken from cows, you can help to save cows—like the kind kid you are. ?

1 cup fresh spinach
2 cups frozen banana chunks
1 cup raw cashews, soaked in water for 2 hours and drained
4–5 dried, pitted dates, soaked in water for 30 minutes and drained
1 Tbsp. cocoa powder
1/3 cup fresh mint leaves or 1/2 tsp. mint extract
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Optional toppings: vegan whipped cream and Maraschino cherries


  • Place all the ingredients, except the toppings, in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into five glasses and top each with vegan whipped cream and a cherry, if desired.
