‘Animals Are Friends, Not Food’ Coloring Sheet

Do you consider your dogs and cats to be some of your best friends? We definitely feel that way about our animal companions! But animals who many people eat—including cows, chickens, pigs, turkeys, and fish—are just as cool, cuddly, smart, and friendly as those we share our homes with.

For example, many people live with birds like parakeets or parrots. Chickens are birds, too, so why do some people choose to eat them but love the others?

There’s something awesome and special about each animal, just like each of your human friends! If you ever get a chance to visit a farm sanctuary, which is a place where rescued cows, pigs, chickens, and other animals live, you should. You’ll see that all the animals you meet have their own unique personalities, likes, and dislikes.

Whether you already don’t eat animals or you want to stop, this fun coloring sheet reminds us that all animals deserve our respect and that none deserves to live a life filled with pain and then die for someone’s meal.

Just follow these easy steps:

1.     Print out the free “Animals Are Friends” sheet. Then grab your favorite colored pencils, crayons, or markers, and start coloring.

2.     Ask your parents to snap a picture of it as soon as you’re done coloring. Then ask them to send the picture, along with your mailing address, to [email protected] so you can get free stickers!* (But remember: We can send stickers only to addresses in the U.S. and Canada.)

3.     Hang the sheet on your fridge or in your locker, or give it to friends or family members you want to see stop eating animals.
