Vegan Halloween Candy

Halloween is (arguably) the best time of the year! It’s fun to dress up, hang out with your family and friends, and get candy—lots of candy!😋 However, not all candy is created equal. Some candy has ingredients from animals in it (gross), and so we should avoid it!

We’ve listed some of our favorite vegan Halloween candy picks below (and have an even longer vegan candy list, too)! If you’re unsure if a candy is vegan or not, some ingredients to be on the lookout for include:

  • Gelatin (made from animal skin, bones, and cartilage)
  • Carmine (red coloring made from crushed female cochineal insects)
  • Confectioner’s glaze (made from insects)
  • Shellac (food glaze made from insects)
  • Milk and eggs (stolen products from cows and chickens)
