Vegan Halloween Candy
Halloween is (arguably) the best time of the year! It’s fun to dress up, hang out with your family and friends, and get candy—lots of candy!😋 However, not all candy is created equal. Some candy has ingredients from animals in it (gross), and so we should avoid it!
©iStock.com/FG TradeWe’ve listed some of our favorite vegan Halloween candy picks below (and have an even longer vegan candy list, too)! If you’re unsure if a candy is vegan or not, some ingredients to be on the lookout for include:
- Gelatin (made from animal skin, bones, and cartilage)
- Carmine (red coloring made from crushed female cochineal insects)
- Confectioner’s glaze (made from insects)
- Shellac (food glaze made from insects)
- Milk and eggs (stolen products from cows and chickens)
